Jade

Jade has been cherished for thousands of years. The name ‘jade’ comes from the Spanish expression ‘piedra de ijada’ meaning “a stone of the pain in the side.” Early Spanish explorers named it after they saw natives holding pieces of the stone to their sides to relieve various aches and pains. In ancient Europe and other parts of the world Stone Age workers shaped this minerals into weapons, tools, ornaments and ritual objects. But it was in China, where Jade reached its peak as an important artistic medium.

In Feng Shui Jade is used to create harmony and balance. It is well known for its purification properties and harmonization of the Heart Chakra improving both emotional and physical well-being.
