Chalcedony has been a treasured gemstone throughout many ancient civilizations since the Bronze Age. Archaeologists have discovered seals and jewellery dating to 1800 BC made from this beautiful stone among the ruins of Palace of Knossos. Many Native American tribes consider Chalcedony to be sacred and most often use it in ceremonial gatherings, to strengthen the bonds between tribes.
This gem is a member of the Quartz mineral family and can be found in many different colours. It can have both fine crystallization and a more pronounced, rough texture, both equally beautiful.
Chalcedony is known as the Speaker’s Stone and is an excellent protective crystal for public speakers, lawyers and politicians.
It is believed to absorb negative energy and dissipate it whilst harmonizing the mind, body, and spirit. Chalcedony is often used for meditations, and as a pathway for receiving successful thought transmissions.
