We create handcrafted, sustainable jewellery with recycled metals and semi-precious gemstones. From our hands, to yours.
About Us
Jewellery is more than something we wear, it carries memories, marks milestones, and tells the stories that shape who we are.
Founded by Deniz Gurdal in 2010, Ottoman Hands started as a small market stall on Notting Hill’s iconic Portobello Road, and has grown into an independent, British jewellery brand, creating timeless pieces inspired by craftsmanship, heritage and meaningful design.
Every collection is created to connect the past with the present, honour traditions and become part of stories we tell today.
"For me, creating jewellery is an opportunity to craft something meaningful and powerful that allows the wearer to express their emotions and help them to tell their stories.
Ottoman Hands designs are deeply rooted in my personal heritage, which is a fusion of East and West. Since our very early days, our design values have been the same, we create timeless, handcrafted jewellery inspired by the East with a contemporary twist."

Our Designs
We create timeless jewellery, made to be worn, not left in a drawer. Each piece is hand-set with natural semi-precious gemstones, from turquoise and labradorite to agate and emerald, and crafted in small batches to last well beyond the trends of the moment, kept close and loved for years.
Our Hands
Our name comes from the artisans who make our jewellery. When Deniz Gurdal started Ottoman Hands, she found a small independent workshop in Istanbul's Grand Bazaar to bring her designs to life, and we still work with the same craftspeople today.
Our Community
Ottoman Hands is a female-founded, female-led business with a small team of multi-talented women coming from different backgrounds all over the world. We are a brand created by women for EVERYONE. We believe business should be a force for good, and support causes and communities close to our hearts.
Our Mission
Every material we choose is weighed against three principles: sustainability, quality and longevity. From our recycled brass plated with gold to our recycled sterling silver, every choice is deliberate. We know jewellery production leaves a mark, so we work to make it a considered one, improving as we learn, and telling you honestly where we still have further to go.
As Seen On
You may have spotted our jewellery before, on screen and off. From TV series like Game of Thrones, House of the Dragon, Emily in Paris, and Sex Education, to films like The Devil Wears Prada 2 and James Bond, our pieces have become part of the stories you love to watch.
