Spiritual Jewellery. Bejewelled way to restore and rebalance
Social media, long hours at work, busy weekends... Sounds familiar? We live our lives in such a fast paced environment and with so many distractions, that we hardly have the time to focus on ourselves and our wellbeing. To distress and re-balance, more and more people are moving away from traditional medicinal treatments and instead turning towards centuries old spiritual practices such as mediation, reiki, crystal healing and many others. Here at Ottoman Hands we have been looking for a meaningful way of restoring our inner balance using amulets and beautifully spiritual jewellery.Inspired by ancient signs & symbols, the eponymous collection features spiritual motifs captured in chic and minimal gold plated brass. To help you understand the meaning of these beautiful motifs we have explored our favourite amulets and their history. We hope you enjoy...
Chakras - The Invisible Energy
The Sanskrit word Chakra can be translated as 'wheel' or 'disk'. In yoga, meditation, and Ayurveda, this term refers to wheels of energy concentrated in specific points throughout the body. There are seven main chakras, which align the spine, starting from the base of the spine through to the crown of the head. Chakras are an age old spiritual concept, referenced in ancient Hindu and Buddhist texts. Each one is represented by a unique symbol and a colour from the rainbow. It is believed that a blockage in one of your chakra's, stops energy from freely flowing through the body. Through reiki and ayurvedic techniques, these blockages can be cleared. Chakra motifs have become powerful and mystical amulets in themselves, inspiring our gorgeous new range of chakra jewellery. Our intricately designed Chakra Rings will add style and mystical charm and hopefully help balance and restore the energy.
Lotus - From the Mud Comes the Divine
As a beautiful flower that thrives in the muck of swamps, the lotus represents the ability of wonderful things to grow and flourish even in the darkest of places. More specifically, it represents our heart opening and the ever present potential for enlightenment. Inside all of us is a lotus bud, just waiting for the right time to unfold into a flower! We think our chic Lotus Flower Earrings and lotus ring capture a beautiful message, that purity and reinvention is part of our growth.
Om - Sacred Sound of Creation
One of the most common and sacred symbols in the yogi tradition is the Om, or Aum. Om is the consciousness of the universe solidified into sound; chanting it at the beginning and end of yoga classes, as well as during meditation, connects us to to the vibration that permeates the cosmos and brings a deep feeling of clarity and bliss. It is considered to be one of the most potent mantras. Our Gold Om Pendant is a symbol reflecting this sacred tradition and perfectly illustrates how spirituality can be captured in meaningful jewellery.
Flower of Life - Sacred Geometry
This symbol represents patterns of life as they emerge. As expansive creation is believed to continue, so do the interlocking rings. This symbol is found in all cultures on the planet and variations of it have been used to represent equations that define mathematics, music, religion, evolution, and medicine. This symbol of the Flower of Life belongs to Sacred Geometry which believes that all life is part of a divine, geometric plan. Our stunning Flower of Life bracelet is the perfect example of thoughtful jewellery, brining enlightenment and spiritual meaning to the everyday.
Tree of Life - Knowledge and wisdom

The Tree of Life with its seeds, branches and roots represents our connections and relationships.
